This website provides information on the campgrounds available on Lake Ouachita and the Diamond Lakes Region of Arkansas, articles written by Carlton “Doc” Holliday about the campgrounds and camping in general. There will also be articles of interest from other sources. We also intend to provide a listing of points of interest, attractions, and accommodations for vacationers in the area. This is one more website in a family of websites devoted to providing all types of information pertaining to camping, fishing, vacationing, and hunting on or around the Diamond Lakes Region of Arkansas .

Your website hosts are Carlton "Doc" Holliday and Darlene "Dee" Holliday who are retired and now live in Joplin, Arkansas.

Lake Ouachita boasts more than 100 uninhabited islands for primitive camping. Contributing to make the lake one of Arkansas's finest outdoor destinations are several resorts (with cabins), commercial marinas, and more than 1,400 campsites.

Most all of the Class A campgrounds are open right now but some have limited areas.

We have started publishing a montly newsletter, Bass Fishing Lake Ouachita Newsletter. The newsletter has relevant articles written by Carlton "Doc" Holliday about fishing, camping, and other items of interest about Lake Ouachita. Also has articles from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission anf the Corps of Engineers concerning fishing and camping on Lake Ouachita. It also contains a section of upcoming area events, a section for reader comments and questions. The newsletter is distributed around the 15th of each month. To get a copy, sign up below.
